And more, these are just the most popular...

Essential Oils Basic Usage:
Essential Oils are always great to diffuse aromatically.  Oils that are safe for the skin, can be dropped into any carrier oil/lotion and applied as desired.  Another simple way is to place a few drops of your favorite Essential Oil in the palms of your hands, cupping your hands around the face and taking a few deep inhalations.  Any excess oil can be smeared through your hair, shoulders or clothing.

Essential Oils and Cooking:
I love using Essential Oils for cooking!
There are a few oils to have extra “respect” for... where less is truly more!  Often instead of a "drop”, I will advise a "smear".  In a case where a drop can flavor a serving size of 3 - 5, please take my suggestion and go lightly first.

Anise: homemade candy
Basil (Indian): salad dressings (and lemon?)
Bergamot: flavoring of Earl Grey tea
Cardamon: salad dressings, homemade frosting/chocolates
Cinnamon: coffee, cookies, waffles, etc.
Clove: cookies, breads, etc.
Fennel: pizza sauce, etc.
Ginger: tea, other beverages, cookies
Lavender: lemonade, Red Wine!
Lime: water, salad dressing (pairs well with Orange!)
Neroli: homemade frosting, biscotti
Oregano: garlic bread or spaghetti sauce
Peppermint: water, cookies, ice cream
Rose Otto (steam distilled, NOT absolute): Champagne!

Essential Oils that can be safely "spilled" into your beverage and ingested:
Citrus Oils are delicious in a glass of water (or stainless steel container...NEVER plastic!)
Grapefruit: water
Lemon: water, tea, yogurt...anything that would taste good with a citrus flavor
Orange: cocktails, etc.
Rose Hydrosol: Champagne, ice cream, cookies
